The Archery Association of Tamil Nadu Mourns the Passing of General Secretary and Renowned Coach Mr. Shihan Hussaini

Renowned karate expert, archery coach, and actor, Shihan Hussaini passed away in Chennai on March 25 after a courageous battle with leukemia, a form of blood cancer.

The Archery Association of Tamil Nadu deeply mourns the untimely passing of its General Secretary and esteemed coach, Mr. Shihan Hussaini. A guiding force in the growth and development of archery in the state, Mr. Hussaini’s contribution to the sport and to the association will remain unforgettable.

Known for his dedication, vision, and tireless efforts, Mr. Hussaini played a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and creating opportunities for archers to excel at the national and international level. Under his leadership, the association witnessed significant progress, with athletes from Tamil Nadu making their mark in the Indian archery circuit.

“The passing of Mr. Hussaini is an irreparable loss to the archery fraternity. He was not only an able administrator but also a mentor who inspired countless young archers with his guidance and passion for the sport. His absence will be deeply felt,” said a spokesperson of The Archery Association of Tamil Nadu (TAAT).

The Association extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, students, and the larger sporting community. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of archers in Tamil Nadu and beyond.
