Tamilnadu recurve archery team consisting of Kamana ashok kumar , Mayuri vijaykumar , Snegavarshini and Aishwarya Rajinikanth created a big sensation in the archery range at Goa engineering college during the recurve women’s team event at the 37 th national games in GOA .
West Bengal team consisting of International archers Aditi Jaiswal , Ruma Biswas and Monica Saren are the reigning recurve women champions of india , having won the gold over Tamilnadu in the last senior nationals in Gujurat this March .
Defeating the champions was sweet revenge for Tamilnadu as West Bengal had beaten them in the last senior nationals .
In a fiercely contested match , Tamilnadu took the first set point of 2 followed by Bengal who won the next set . It’s was Tamilnadu ‘s turn in the third set to win and then a win by Bengal leading to a tie of 4 -4 .
This lead to a ‘ shoot off ‘ with each archer shooting one arrow .
Tamilnadu shot closer to the center and won the match .
The next match was the semi finals , with Jharkand – the most powerful recurve archery women’s recurve team with india ‘s golden girl Deepika kumari , Youth world champion , Komalika Bari and international archer Deepti kumari also struggle to win in a tie breaker with Tamilnadu with just one point in a ‘ SHOOT OFF ‘ . It is the strongest team in india which boasts of archers from the famous Tata archery academy .
Deepika kumari known as india ‘s golden girl who is a three times Olympian and Komalika Bari , who was the youth world champion as well as Deepti kumari an international player were in the team .
Tamilnadu started the match with a 2 set point win against them . The second set point of 2 also went to jharkand . Tamilnadu took the third set and it was 4-2 . The next went to jharkand leading to a tie of 4-4.
The shoot was probably the most closely watched shoot off in the entire event with coaches ,archers and officials from all over crowding around .
While both teams shot equal in the first two arrows , a third arrow shot by a Tamilnadu archer into a 7 sealed the match in jharkhand’s favour . Though Tamilnadu lost the match and moved to the bronze medal match which will be held on 6 th November , there was all round appreciation for the Tamilnadu archers for the close fight they put against jharkand who struggled for the win .

கோவாவில் நடைபெற்ற 37வது தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டியில் காமனா அசோக் குமார், மயூரி விஜய்குமார், சினேகவர்ஷினி மற்றும் ஐஸ்வர்யா ரஜினிகாந்த் அடங்கிய தமிழ்நாடு ரிகர்வ் வில்வித்தை அணி, கோவா பொறியியல் கல்லூரியில் வில்வித்தை ரேஞ்சில் பெரும் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியது.
கடந்த மார்ச் மாதம் குஜராத்தில் நடந்த சீனியர் நேஷனல்ஸ் போட்டியில் தமிழகத்தை வீழ்த்தி தங்கம் வென்ற சர்வதேச வில்வித்தை வீராங்கனை அதிதி ஜெய்ஸ்வால், ரூமா பிஸ்வாஸ் மற்றும் மோனிகா சரேன் ஆகியோர் அடங்கிய மேற்கு வங்க அணி இந்தியாவின் தற்போதைய ரிகர்வ் மகளிர் சாம்பியன்கள்.
கடந்த சீனியர் நேஷனல்களில் மேற்கு வங்கம் வென்றதால், சாம்பியன்களை தோற்கடித்தது தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கு இனிமையான பழிவாங்கலாகும்.
விறுவிறுப்பாக நடைபெற்ற இப்போட்டியில் தமிழகம் 2 என்ற முதல் செட் புள்ளியை கைப்பற்றியது , அடுத்த செட்டை பெங்கால் அணி கைப்பற்றியது . மூன்றாவது செட்டில் தமிழகம் வெற்றி பெற்று, பெங்கால் அணி வெற்றி பெற்று 4-4 என சமநிலைக்கு வந்தது.
இது ஒவ்வொரு வில்லாளனும் ஒரு அம்பு எய்தும்போது ‘SHOOT OFF ‘ க்கு வழி வகுத்தது .
தமிழகம் மையத்தை நெருங்கி ஷாட் செய்து வெற்றி பெற்றது .
பிரபலமான டாடா வில்வித்தை அகாடமியின் வில்வீரர்களைக் கொண்ட இந்தியாவின் வலிமையான அணியான ஜார்கண்டுடன் அடுத்த போட்டி அரையிறுதியாக இருந்தது.
மூன்று முறை ஒலிம்பியனான இந்தியாவின் தங்கப் பெண் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் தீபிகா குமாரி மற்றும் இளைஞர் உலக சாம்பியனான கோமலிகா பாரி மற்றும் சர்வதேச வீராங்கனை தீப்தி குமாரி ஆகியோர் அணியில் இருந்தனர்.
தமிழக அணி 2 செட் என்ற கணக்கில் வெற்றி பெற்று ஆட்டத்தை தொடங்கியது. 2-வது செட் புள்ளி ஜார்கண்டிற்கு சென்றது. மூன்றாவது செட்டை தமிழகம் கைப்பற்றி 4-2 என சமன் செய்தது. அடுத்து ஜார்கண்ட் அணி 4-4 என்ற கணக்கில் சமநிலைக்கு வழிவகுத்தது.
இந்த போட்டி முழு நிகழ்விலும் மிகவும் உன்னிப்பாகக் கவனிக்கப்பட்ட ஒன்றாக இருந்தது, பயிற்சியாளர்கள், வில்லாளர்கள் மற்றும் அதிகாரிகள் சுற்றிலும் கூட்டம்.
முதல் இரண்டு அம்புகளை இரு அணிகளும் சமமாக எய்தனர் , தமிழக வீராங்கனை 7-ல் எய்த மூன்றாவது அம்பு ஜார்கண்ட் அணிக்கு சாதகமாக அமைந்தது. இப்போட்டியில் தமிழகம் தோல்வியடைந்து நவம்பர் 6 ஆம் தேதி நடைபெறவுள்ள வெண்கலப் பதக்கப் போட்டிக்கு முன்னேறிய போதிலும், வெற்றிக்காக போராடிய ஜார்கண்ட் அணிக்கு எதிராக தமிழக வில்வித்தை வீராங்கனைகள் கடுமையாகப் போராடியதற்கு பாராட்டுக்கள் குவிந்தன.
