GR Sriram , compound archer from Tamilnadu was a big sensation at the compound archery ranking events at the 37 th National games at Goa and missed the 1 st position in the country by just one point .
Rajat Chauhan took the first place with 703 points and Sriram and Rithwik Scored 702 .
Based on the No of 10 ‘s and x ‘s scored by both the archers , Sriram took the third place .
Though there was very strong winds , Sriram did not lose his steady aim and controlled releases .
“ it’s a great pride that Sriram has defeated some of the top international archers in india to take the top spot in the Rankings . I’m confident he will get the medal in the eliminations !” Said Shihan hussaini , the chief coach and general secretary of TAAT – the archery association of Tamilnadu .

கோவாவில் நடைபெற்று வரும் 37 வது தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளில், காம்பௌண்ட் வில்வித்தை தரவரிசை நிகழ்வில் தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த காம்பௌண்ட் வில்வித்தை வீரரான ஜி.ஆர்.ஸ்ரீராம் பெரும் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தினார் !மிக சிறப்பாக ஆடி ஒரு புள்ளி வித்தியாசத்தில் நாட்டின் இரண்டாவது இடத்தை பிடித்தார்
ரஜத் சவுகான் 703 புள்ளிகளுடன் முதலிடத்தையும், ஸ்ரீராம் மற்றும் ருட்கிட்க் 702 மதிப்பெண் பெற்றனர் .
வில்வித்தை வீரர்கள் இருவரும் அடித்த 10 மற்றும் x இன் எண்களின் அடிப்படையில் ஸ்ரீராம் மூன்றாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்தார்.
பலத்த காற்று வீசினாலும், ஸ்ரீராம் தனது நிலையான நோக்கத்தையும் கட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்ட வெளியீடுகளையும் இழக்கவில்லை.
“இந்தியாவில் உள்ள சில சிறந்த சர்வதேச வில்வீரர்களை ஸ்ரீராம் தோற்கடித்து தரவரிசையில் முதலிடத்தைப் பிடித்தது பெருமைக்குரியது. எலிமினேஷன் போட்டியில் அவர் பதக்கம் வெல்வார் என்று நான் நம்புகிறேன்! ” என்று தமிழ்நாடு வில்வித்தை சங்கமான TAAT இன் தலைமைப் பயிற்சியாளரும் பொதுச் செயலாளருமான ஷிஹான் ஹுசைனி கூறினார்.
